Exercises to try at your desk during Lunch
Hi, I am Kevin Hubble and this year I picked up the title of Fitness First UK Personal Trainer of the Year. I'm here to show you how to make the most of your fitness fuelled lunch break. Time may be limited but that doesn't mean you can't pack an effective workout into your lunch hour. This can sometimes be just the thing to stop the mid-afternoon dip in energy and enthusiasm.
Fitness First helps thousands of people change their lives every day. Their team of fitness experts take your fitness personally - and guarantee they'll help achieve the results you want. They’ll look at your motivations, help you set goals and guide you on a journey to improve health, fitness and change the way you feel about yourself.
Would love to work out during your lunch break but can't get to the gym? We'll bring the gym to you! We've found some excellent 'in the office' workouts you can do right at your desk. Gently does it and maybe just skip the acid yellow bright leotard and leg warmers.
Football, netball, cricket, golf, tennis, badminton and hockey were the most popular team sports people played together during lunch breaks. We found some great resources for five-a-side football and netball, but if there's anything you want to share with us please do. Maybe some good facilities, a friendly work team looking for some social lunch time competition? Brilliant!
There are plenty of activities that you can undertake in your lunch hour. For hints and tips on how to get motivated and make the most of the environment surrounding your work, read our article. Don't worry if you're not near a gym, we even tell you how to go lo-fi.
